After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1966, I spent a number of years working as an attorney in the airline industry — first at TWA and then at Eastern Air Lines. In 1980, I left the corporate sector to start my own firm in White Plains, New York.

In the ensuing years, I had the opportunity to handle a wide range of challenging legal issues, taking on Fortune 500 companies and international businesses and representing many high-profile clients along the way. During this time, I was also appointed by the former Chief Justice of the United States, Warren E. Burger, to serve for five years as the Executive Director of the Corporate Committee for Fair Compensation of the Federal Judiciary. This was a great honor and one that I am proud to have received. Although I returned home to Utah in August of 2004, I am also proud to say that the firm I started in 1980 still exists.
My Current Practice
I am currently admitted to practice in all of the state courts of Utah and in the U.S. District Court for Utah. I am also admitted to practice in New York's state courts, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
My legal practice concentrates on three primary areas:
- Contracts
- Dispute resolution
- Employment issues
Within these general areas I handle a wide range of matters, including the preparation and drafting of real estate contracts, business contracts and employment contracts; the resolution of breach of contract disputes between businesses or between individuals and businesses; wrongful dismissal disputes; contract drafting and enforcement; contract litigation and more.
